The
Group's white cement division was established
in 1988, with technology from Onoda Engineering
& Consulting, Japan. From an initial capacity
of 80,000 tpa, it now has a capacity of 475,000
tpa, making it India's largest white cement producer.
Branded as Birla White, this division manufactures
world-class white cement. The white cement finds
applications in floorings and exterior/interior
wall finishes, apart from other innovative uses.
The division also manufactures products like Birla
White GRC, Birla White Wallcare Putty, Birla White
Textura, Birla White Kool N Seal and Birla
White Levelplast.
Birla
White Glass fibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC):
Extremely versatile and lightweight, GRC combines
the moulding properties of cement with the tensile
strength of glass fibre. GRC can be used for simple
or decorative elevations; Birla White GRC is supplied
in the form of pre-cast elements for wall cladding,
columns, domes, arches etc.
Birla
White Wallcare Putty: A white cement-based
ready-mix putty which fills the pores of mortar
/ concrete walls and ceilings to provide a white,
smooth, dry surface for painting. It has superior
water resisting and adhesive properties, and can
be applied on both exterior and interior surfaces.
Being water resistant it doesn't flake even if
the walls are damp.
Birla
White Textura: A ready-mix white cement-based
textured finish in powder form. Popular internationally,
Birla White Textura is available in a wide variety
of surface textures, designs and colours. It decorates
as well as protects interior and exterior walls.
Birla
White Kool-n-Seal: Birla White Kool-n-Seal
is a ready-mix white cement-based coating material
with dual properties. 'Kool n Seal' when applied
on a roof, effectively reduces the indoor temperature.
It seals minor cracks thereby arresting leakage.
Kool-n-Seal can also be used on water tanks and
for sealing plumbing joints.
Birla White Levelplast: Birla White Levelplast
is a white cement-based superior substitute of
P.O.P for walls. Levelplast is the ideal material
to cover major undulations on a wall. It fills
the fine pores of concrete / mortar walls (internal
and external) and ceilings, providing a white,
smooth and dry leveled surface for painting.
